At The 180° Wholesaler we believe that the advisor and their business has changed over time, but the process of wholesaling has remained constant. An emphasis on product knowledge is still the primary skill focus for many organizations and as a result, many wholesalers utilize a product-centric sales approach. We believe advisors have grown accustomed to this approach, but want more from their wholesaler interactions and will partner with those sales people that deliver a variety of business solutions and a new ‘buying’ experience. Our Founder:

Prior to founding The 180° Wholesaler in 2008, Kim Ashcraft spent 16 years in the financial services industry. Starting with Van Kampen as an internal wholesaler in the bank channel, she moved to an external role covering banks and planners in the Mid-South and Mid-Atlantic territories. While with Van Kampen, Kim won “Internal Wholesaler of the Year” and “The Rising Star Award for Bank External Wholesalers.”

In 1999, Kim joined Lincoln Financial Distributors as a wholesaler covering Wirehouses in the Carolinas and Georgia. In 2000, she was “Top Sales Person for the Wire/Regional Division.” In 2002, Kim moved into management as National Sales Manager for the Financial Institutions Division.

Lincoln’s growing sales forces' need for in-house training led Kim to create Lincoln’s first centralized group of specialists focused on helping wholesalers increase their productivity through professional development training and support. It is from Kim's success and comprehensive experience that The 180° Wholesaler was created.
